We raised over £400 to Help Fight Homelessness this Christmas

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for anyone rough sleeping. It’s a freezing and lonely experience. This is especially the case for young people. Christmas is best shared with family. So for young people who are suffering from a family crisis or family breakdown can feel completely lost or abandoned this time of year.

22,000 vulnerable young people will be at risk of being homeless in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Imagine if it was you - sofa surfing, or sleeping in a park or on a bus on Christmas Eve. We don’t think this is acceptable.

Centrepoint’s survey of 227 young people who have been homeless found that 69% felt that no-one cared for their wellbeing, while 72% said it had a negative impact on their mental health.

This Christmas, we helped support people out of homelessness.

We want to be part of the solution, and give help and support to homeless people this Christmas. So, from November 15th to December 15th, we donated 25% of all profits from sales on our online store. Last year, we raised £394.52. Enough to support 14 people under Crisis’ Christmas appeal. This year, we are excited to announce that we raised £433.05 - enough to support 15 people under 2019’s Christmas appeal. Thank you to all of our customers who purchased during this time to support this appeal!
